In Memory

On Thursday, October 20, one of the children served by the Lisha Mtoto, Twilu Muendo, passed away. Twili was four years old and contracted meningitis. Because she lacked access to proper medical care, she was unable to get the treatment she needed. Lisha Mtoto asks that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we mourn this loss.

Let this be a reminder that the situation for the children at Lisha Mtoto is dire. We cannot provide these children with the proper care and treatment they so desperately need without your support. Your sponsorship of a child will prevent such a tragedy from occurring again. Lisha Mtoto cannot do it alone; we need your help.

Please, donate now. Your contribution, however big or small, can truly impact the life of a child served by our organization.

Twili Muendo 3

Rest in peace, Twili.

25How much can you get for $25? If you live in the US, it'll buy your Civic half a tank of gas. It'll buy delivery pizza with tip, or a pair of movie tickets (but don't even look at the popcorn). In Kibera, $25 a month pays for school fees, uniforms, healthcare, food, and most importantly: hope for a brighter future. That's what we call a high yield investment. Interested? Read more...
